I used to love this store and have been a familiar face here for years. Unfortunately, after the new owners bought it, they decided to start carrying anything—even if it's old and doesn't work. I bought a bunch of caulking that was hardened and couldn't even be squeezed from the gun, so I had to toss it and eat the cost. Now I just ate the cost of floor paint that was mislabeled. You may save a few cents here and there, but it's not worth the dollars wasted on old, low-quality products. Keep your receipts—you'll probably be making returns. Such a shame to see new owners ruin a great store. (The employees are still great, though.)

Star Supply: A Treasure Trove of Unique Finds!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 Stars)Star Supply is, without a doubt, one of the best local stores I’ve ever visited. It's truly a hidden gem, and I encourage everyone to stop by—it's far more than just a regular supply shop! What sets Star Supply apart is its phenomenal collection of unique items. You can tell the owners take great pride in curating their inventory, stocking things you simply won't find anywhere else. I'm always pleasantly surprised to discover specialized tools, artisanal goods, and imported materials that are perfect for my niche hobbies and projects. On my last visit, I found everything from vintage hardware I needed for a restoration project to a beautiful, hand-crafted coffee mug.It feels less like a store and more like an organized treasure hunt. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their products. They are always ready to help you locate a specific item or point out a fascinating new arrival. If you are tired of the same generic selections at big-box retailers, you absolutely must visit Star Supply. If you need something unique, rare, or just plain interesting, this is you

Star Supply is a best kept local secret. If your eccentric tinkering Dad could imagine a store to spend a couple of hours in... this is that daydream. Today, I saw butcher block countertop pieces there, wallets made from recycled rubber, anti-fatigue mats, and big bags of marbles... I bought 3/8" cotton cord for making a coiled rag rug (100 feet for 8$), and heavy washers for use as fabric weights in my sewing studio. I also found a heavy duty set of casters for my cutting table. But what makes this place 100% fantastic are the hilarious little signs over each unusual little pile of items... Dad will love it, so will Mom, Uncle Fester, Pugsly and Wednesday. Classic Youngstown!
